On the Mac, the Style Manager has the same functionality as the Styles panel in Windows In the New Style dialog, give it a name of Figure, set the Style Type to Character, then click OK. The easiest way to create a new style is to format text, then use it as the example for the style. Use to refer to the back delete key on the Mac keyboard. End: Capitalize. Use to refer to the End key. Enter: Capitalize. Use to refer to the Enter key. On the Mac, use only when functionality requires it. Esc: Always use Esc, not Escape. F1–F12: Capitalize the F. Don't add a space between the F and the number. Forward: Capitalize. Opening Word-to-LaTeX. Using the Word-to-LaTeX Word add-in is by far the most convenient. Just open the document (doc, docx, rtf) in Microsoft Word and then click the Word-to-LaTeX icon. In Word 2000-2003 you will find the icon on the command bar, in Word 2007-2010 go to the Add-Ins ribbon tab as seen on the screenshot below.
