- All PowerMic II devices should be updated to firmware version 2.03 when users are experiencing intermittent Powermic II issues. There is a firmware tool that can be downloaded from isupport. This can be downloaded to a single workstation, from where you can run the update for each microphone.
- I did find however the Octopus USB controller which solved the problem of using the Powermic II and Dragon 10.1 in Windows 10. Theoretically, this program will also allow use and programming of the Powermic in other programs, perhaps even regular Dragon. I was able to install it easily and it has worked fine so far.
- Any suggestions as to how to make NS recognize the presence of the powermic? It shows up in the Devices and Printers panel as PowerMicII-NS, using a mouse icon, and has settings for Sound and Mouse, with mike set as default input. It works, but since it isn't recognized by NS, it doesn't recognize the various buttons, so it is not fully integrated.
